One to one sessions at Cheshire Hypnotherapy to help you relax
A recent study has found that labour takes an average 47 minutes longer for women who fear giving birth! Hypnotherapy could help you to have a better more relaxed birth.
In the last few decades, childbirth and pregnancy has become a more medical experience. This can cause a feeling of detachment from the birth process and the real miracle of this experience. You can get rid of any fears and anxieties about the birth as well as overcome past traumatic births. Every baby deserves to enter the world in the most peaceful way possible.
In more recent years the value of natural childbirth has been emphasised, and thankfully hospitals and Midwives are now paying more attention to mothers-to-be by providing the option for a less clinical setting for the birth. In Fact the NHS Professor Soo Downe, a midwifery specialist has just launched an 18 month study that will investigate self-hypnosis techniques in hospitals.
There has been much research into reducing the pain of childbirth with hypnobirthing taught during pregnancy. This has provided positive results, and hypnosis is often taught to help relieve all sorts of pain so that it does not have to be an inevitable part of the experience.
Imagine being in control of each contraction, feeling peaceful and relaxed – not asleep or out of touch, but fully aware, and yet free from anxiety and tension and able to welcome your new baby to a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
Hypnosis helps you to use the power of your mind and imagination to make the experience of childbirth, at home or in hospital, a more comfortable and natural occasion. I teach one to one hypnotherapy for birthing in Altrincham which is suitable if you prefer a more private setting. Normally four sessions are required from 30-32 weeks onwards so you can look forward to the birth of your child with more confidence.
Hypnotherapy is a Proven Support for Fertility and IVF Treatment
Hypnotherapy can also make a positive difference to the experience of IVF infertility treatment. Hypnosis can be used to help prepare mentally, emotionally and physically for IVF. According to a study presented to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology conference in Berlin in July of 2004: hypnosis can effectively double the success of IVF treatments. The study was conducted by Professor Eliahu Levitas and his team at Soroka Hospital in Israel. It found that hypnosis could improve the success of the embryo transfers stage of IVF.
