I am 51 and have smoked for over 30 years. I booked an appointment with Lisa to help me give up smoking. I just couldn’t find the will-power within myself to give up, even though I had the will. I have not smoked since my consultation with Lisa. Somehow, my attitude towards smoking is changed. The urge to smoke still exists from time to time, but it just seems that smoking is not a solution to those urges. It’s strange but true. Lisa’s confidence in the effectiveness of her treatment is absolute and justified. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wishes to quit smoking.
I decided to try hypnotherapy because I put on weight after giving up smoking. After my sessions with Lisa I have lost 19lbs. Lisa’s approach in discussing healthy eating and a healthy attitude to food together with the sessions helped me to stop snacking and taught me to recognise when I was hungry and avoid eating when I wasn’t! I have not been on a diet but I have just found a new attitude to food. I enjoy treats and meals out with friends without feeling guilty but I am aware of what I am eating and I just try to make healthy choices and really savour my treats. I visited you on the 20th March this year for a hypnotherapy session to help me stop smoking. I am really happy to say I have not had nor wanted a cigarette since I left your office. I am so glad I booked the session with you and cannot believe I am finally a non-smoker! Thank you so much for helping me, I had been a smoker for 20 plus years and knew that at some point I had to pay a price for being a smoker. I was really worried about my health and knew it was already having a huge impact not just on me but on my family also. My husband, a non-smoker and children both non-smokers, really hated the fact that I smoked and was constantly worried about my health, they are over the moon that I am now no longer a smoker, that means more to me than you know.
Some may consider the sessions costly but my response is to ask is it more costly than your health? After being overweight for many years I thought I would try having a Hypnotherapy session to see if it helped in anyway. I went with the intention to eat healthy and exercise, and Lisa talked in depth about my eating habits and the reasons why I was struggling to diet and lose weight in the past. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovaries) and was also struggling to concieve, but in about 5 months of eating healthy on a low sugar diet I had lost 39lbs and found out I was pregnant!!! Lisa has transformed my attitude to eating and drinking! Despite my initial apprehension, Lisa’s calm, professional but empathetic approach put me at ease. After just 4 sessions, I have lost 10lbs in weight, but more importantly I am no longer preoccupied with thoughts of food and have controlled the amount which I am drinking, particularly during the week. Hypnosis was not something I’d tried or even considered until recently, but as a student going into my final year of university I wanted to ensure my motivation and focus wasn’t something that was going to let me down.
